Telmex International IP VPN Services adds the possibility of establishing Classes of Service (CoS) levels suitable for voice, video or data applications to the traditional interconnection between remote offices. By applying quality of service policies over the contracted bandwidth, the service is configured to ensure a minimum bandwidth for each type of traffic. In case of a congestion incident, a different packet queuing policy is defined according to the Class of Service in order to assure that those applications sensitive to delay and packet loss, like those of voice and video, get the major priority in the transport network and maintain the performance level that they need.
